Now that our fall weather is finally here the La Quinta Resort and Spa presents it's Grooves in the Groove Jazz series. The series runs Fridays from October 7th to November 25th. Performers include performers such as Mindi Abair who has produced top ten #1 radio singles and her records have consistently topped the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts as well as Lou Price from the Temptations and Drifters with the Grooves in the Grove All Star Band. LA QUINTA ADDS HISTORIC LANDMARKS

The City of La Quinta, California added six plaques last week at historic landmarks around town. The La Quinta Historical Society identified them as important to the city's heritage. The locations were: 1. The La Quinta Historical Society Museum. 2. El Ranchito Restaurant. 3. SilverRock Resort Clubhouse. 4. The La Quinta Resort http://www.laquintaresort.com/ 5. NEW INFORMATION ABOUT BUYING YOUR NEW HOME IN LA QUINTA OR OTHER COMMUNITIES

California Senate Bill 183 was signed into law to regulate the installation of Carbon Monoxide detectors. This two-part law that requires an update to the Transfer Disclosure Statements used in a real estate transaction and puts into law the Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act of 2010. First part of the new law requires that as of July 1, 2011, Transfer Disclosure Statements include a line item regarding the presence or absence of a Carbon Monoxide detector in the same manner as Smoke Detectors, for all residential units that are sold.
