LA QUINTA, Calif. – November 3, 2010 – At La Quinta Resort & Club, there are always
colorful, entertaining and delicious holiday activities to be enjoyed by members, visitors and
locals – all set in the alluring desert landscape with the Santa Rosa Mountains as its celebratory
background. This year, the resort has also created guest and community-oriented events
centered on the characters, happenings and setting of Frank Capra’s iconic holiday movie and
American Film Institute classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” – which he wrote while staying at his
favorite La Quinta casita!

Fa la la La Quinta “It’s a Wonderful Life” Film Tribute
November 27 through December 25
• The resort’s Main Plaza will be reminiscent of “Bedford Falls” on Thursday, Friday and
Saturday of each week, with carolers, entertainment and live mannequins in the shop
windows.  
• Bell Ringing every day in the Plaza – based on “Every time a bell rings an angel gets
their wings.” When selected lucky guests will receive special resort-related gifts.  
• “It’s A Wonderful Wish” resort-themed raffle prize wreaths will be displayed in the lobby
with proceeds from raffle tickets going to local charities.
• “Potter’s” cigars can be rolled onsite near Adobe Grill.
• Hundreds of luminarias decorated by local school children will be on display.
• Each Saturday evening will feature a mini tree lighting ceremony.
• Complimentary showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at 8:00PM Saturday evening at the resort’s theater.

Toys for Tots Giving Feels Wonderful
All who attend the resort’s Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 27 are encouraged to bring toy
donations. La Quinta Resort is offering a complimentary appetizer at TWENTY6, Adobe Grill
and Ernie’s Bar & Grill at PGA WEST for every toy donated by the general public between Nov.
27 and Dec. 17. For every toy valued at $25 or more donated by hotel guests through Dec. 15,
one category room upgrades will be offered, based on availability. La Quinta Resort & Club and
PGA WEST will match the dollar value of all toys donated. And then there are all the smiling
children in the community who will receive toys from Santa and secret Toys for Tots angels.

Photo ops with Santa to be enjoyed for years to come. The breakfast includes a festive buffet
