The Palm Springs Airport

Did you know that during World War II the airport was called the Palm Springs Army Air Field and was home to the 21st Ferrying Group, Ferrying Division Air Transport Command. This command delivered supplies overseas and transported aircraft from the factories to where they were needed for operations and combat.
